Our Founder — Darlene E. Reid
Darlene holds a B.S. & M.S. in Chemistry with specialized expertise in analytical laboratory and consulting work. Her scientific foundation gave her one enduring skill she has applied across every industry since: finding the root cause before reaching for a solution. Because solutions are only as effective as the clarity that precedes them.
That discipline translated directly into 7+ years of PMP-certified project management leadership spanning multiple industries pharmaceutical analytical development, analytical chemistry root cause analysis, quality assurance, the launch of a city’s first universal Pre-K program coordinating government stakeholders and community partners, youth development programming, and end-to-end operations for live events with over 2,000 attendees. She has also guided small nonprofit and faith-based organizations through the implementation of customer management systems helping teams that often lack dedicated IT staff adopt tools that actually reflect how their communities operate. Darlene also helps teams implement project management tools like Asana and Monday.com and assesses whether a team is genuinely ready to adopt them before anything is built. The most expensive PM mistake a small business makes is rolling out a tool to a team that wasn’t prepared for it. She’ll tell you the truth about that before you spend a dollar.
The thread across all of it is the same one from the lab: understand the system, identify what’s actually broken, and build a solution the people involved can practically use. LucIris is where scientific precision meets human-centered leadership. That’s the thread running through Darlene’s career, from the analytical lab to the Superintendent’s office to the community center.

Inspired by her grandmothers, industrious immigrants who taught her a creative, people-first approach to problem-solving, Darlene founded LucIris (pronounced “loo-sy-ris”) on that same principle. We don’t just solve. We consider how every stakeholder will receive, adapt, and integrate the work we create together.
